ABOUT US
The Diet Care Centre was established to be a one-stop centre providing counseling services, training venues and referral centre in the field of nutrition and dietetics. It started in 2016, when we found the need to offer dietetic counseling facilities to UiTM Puncak Alam campus staff and the nearby public. Especially we find there is a demand from the community that needs guidance in changing lifestyles towards healthier ones. Finally, in 2017, the Diet Care Centre has been launched by the Rector of UiTM Selangor Branch in conjunction with the World Diabetes Day celebration.
WHAT IS DIET CARE ?
Diet Therapy is one of the services provided by a certified Dietetic Officer to patients diagnosed with Non-Communicable Diseases such as; Diabetes Mellitus, High Blood Pressure and Hyperlipidemia as well as other chronic patients such as cancer and obesity based on Medical Nutrition Therapy which is a guideline based on scientific research (evidence-based medicine) for each disease.
